From Industrial Icon to After Dark Destination

Newstead Gasworks carries a hundred years of Brisbane's industrial memory in its brickwork. When the precinct was reimagined as a dining and entertainment destination, the brief for Firefly was simple on paper and demanding in practice: light the old bones of the site without erasing them. Heath and the team worked with the existing structure rather than against it, tracing warm light along original ironwork and brick facades, letting the architecture stay the hero while the lighting did the quiet work of making it feel alive after dark.

What was once a working gasworks is now a place people choose to linger, over dinner, over drinks, long after the sun goes down. The lighting doesn't shout. It just makes sure the history stays lit.
